Occident and Orient meet directly here and ensnare the visitor with fascinating contrasts. There’s the millennia-old eventful history from Byzantium to Constantinople to the Today’s Istanbul with its mosques, palaces, churches, bridges and fountains. Against this wonderful backdrop, the modern life of an exciting Cosmopolitan city with shopping malls, excellent restaurants, stylish hotels always again interrupted by oriental bazaars and ancient bathhouses (hammams) with their confusing jumble of smells, colours and Languages.

For many centuries, the city has had the economic and political developments at the important crossroads between Europe and Europe. and Asia- and is still a dynamic and multifaceted melting pot of cultures. Lately one might get the impression that Germany and Turkey are in agreement. not quite green anymore". In fact, there are hardly two other states which have been so closely linked to each other over the ages: politically, culturally and especially economically.

· Culture & Language Courses.  Turkish Intensive and Advanced Courses The language school in Istanbul is located a few steps from the Bosphorus and only a few minutes’ walk from Taksim Square, in the European part of the Turkish metropolis.

Founded in 1988 as an offshoot of Ankara University, it has been recognized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture.

Our partner school in Istanbul has about 400 students every month, of which 200 are foreigners (Europe, Asia, USA), who are learning Turkish and around 200 Turks who speak English, German etc. at school.
Age distribution: 18 -25 years 40%, up to 35 years 40%, over 35: 20%.

Facilities: The language school occupies 6 floors in a 9-storey office building a hill above the Bosperus, from many of the classrooms you have a great view of the Bosperus and the Asian side from Istanbul. Air-conditioned classrooms, library, multimedia room, small café right next to the language school. There is also an internet café with Wi-Fi available.

A Standard Turkish Course in Istanbul:

  • Course duration: From 1 week
  • Weekly hours: 20 hours á 45′
  • Lessons: Monday-Friday 9.00-12.50
  • Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
  • Group size: Max. 14 participants
  • Contents: Changing learning situations using a wide variety of teaching aids.

 

B Intensive Turkish Course in Istanbul:

  • Course duration: From 1 week
  • Weekly hours: 30 hours á 45′
  • Tuition: Same as A and an additional 10 hours/week. on 3 evenings 18.00.-20.45h
  • Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
  • Contents: General language lessons. Depending on the individual Previous knowledge of topics such as grammatics, listening, reading and writing exercises and additionally, depending on your wishes, deepening of grammar, pronunciation or Conversation.
  • Educational leave in Hesse and Lower Saxony and Berlin

With previous knowledge, entry is possible 1 or 2 weeks later.

Teaching material, accommodation service, on-site support, Internet access (including Wi-Fi zone), certificate of participation. Registration fee: 25 €, teaching material 12 € exclusive. The first day of school takes place on Tuesday during the first week.

 

 

Free time in Istanbul

Excursions: Downtown and Old Town of Istanbul very quickly accessible: by ferry in ten minutes to Eminönü and Sultanahmet, across the Galata Bridge to Beyoğlu, eat in Kadıköy go. Museums and culture are on the doorstep. The Princes’ Islands are reachable by bus ticket

Sitting while studying in the morning can be with walks along the Bosphorus, with a view of the water and a lively ship’s life like giant steamers and container ships, on the Maiden Tower and sometimes also on free-living Dolphins.
Within walking distance is the car ferry, in 10 minutes it takes us to Eminönü across the Bosphorus, from there to Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu. Kadıköy, the famous nightlife district, is a Bus ride far. From Üsküdar we take the Bosphorus steamer to Beşiktaş.
