Language trip to Chile

Exciting country of contrasts on the Pacific

Santiago de Chile: Where winter is summer! Chile, this Santiago de Chilepolitically stable and economically emerging country at the other end of the world since its return to democracy (1990), is an extremely interesting travel destination all year round and is spared from mass tourism. Chile stretches over an enormous distance of 4000 kilometers. From Peru and Bolivia in the north to the inhospitable Tierra del Fuego in the extreme south and nestled between the endless expanses of the Pacific Ocean and the spectacular Andes cordillera with peaks reaching dizzying heights of almost 7,000 meters, visitors are offered a fascinating variety of landscapes, climates and even relatively unadulterated nature: endless expanses, deserted beaches, romantic wineries in the fertile central valley contrast with the desert, Altiplano, and salt lakes in the north. In the south, volcanoes, dark lakes and fjords with rainforests and glaciers dominate the scenery.
The prosperous metropolis of Santiago is ideally located in the central valley right at the foot of the Andes , making day trips to the high mountains possible for skiing or mountain hiking. The climate is Mediterranean with fairly dry summers (November-February/March and pleasantly cool winters July, August with 5-15 °C.
