Spanish in the mountains of Cadiz – Andalusia
Prado del Rey is located in the mountains of the province of Cádiz, in the heart of the “Route of the White Villages” of Andalusia. With its almost 6000 inhabitants, it is a place with a lot of ambience. For the most part, life takes place on the streets lined with orange trees, lemon trees, jasmine bushes, and countless other flowers and plants. That’s why Prado del Rey is affectionately called “El Jardin de la Sierra” (The Garden of the Mountain Region). The pedestrian zone is the centre of the action with its nice cafés with sun terraces, tapas bars and music pubs. Everyone will quickly find their “favourite bar” here. On weekends and in summer there are concerts, flamenco, dance and theatre performances. The inhabitants love their place, the houses and streets are very well maintained. There are several supermarkets, fashion and shoe shops, as well as a market hall with fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruit every day.
Spanish Courses
Intensive course 20 hours per week with 20 hours/week a 45 min, all levels, from Monday to Friday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The lessons are very intensive with a maximum of 6 people per learning group. from 17 y.
Intensive Plus Course + 5 One-to-One Lessons
The course consists of 4 lessons of 45 minutes each, plus 1 private lesson per day from Monday to Friday. By combining it with one-to-one lessons, you will learn more effectively and have a more direct “line” to your teacher.
After the group lesson, you will have 45 minutes to deepen topics with your teacher, read texts, or simply practice conversation.
Super-intensive course 30 hours per week (educational leave)
The super-intensive course is recognized as educational leave in many German federal states. With 30 hours per week, you will reach your learning goal particularly quickly. In addition to intensive Spanish lessons, the course includes lectures and film screenings on many interesting social, political and cultural topics. In addition, one theme evening per week is planned, where self-selected topics are discussed. For beginners, translation assistance is provided during the lectures, films and discussion evenings.
With this individual form of tuition, you have the opportunity to coordinate a program tailored to your interests with your teacher. You determine the content and duration of the course, with the teacher focusing on your specific questions and interests.
Super Intensive Plus Course (+ 10 individual lessons)
The Super Intensive Plus course is an intensive course combined with 2 hours of one-to-one lessons per day. This course is ideal for students who want to progress as quickly and effectively as possible in a short time or who want to prepare intensively for an exam or semester abroad. We work intensively on vocabulary, grammar, written expression and fluent communication. By combining it with one-to-one lessons, you will learn more effectively and have a more direct “line” to your teacher. The course consists of 4 lessons of 45 minutes each, plus 2 private lessons per day from Monday to Friday.
One-to-one teaching
With this individual form of teaching, you have the opportunity to coordinate a program tailored to your interests with your teacher. You determine the content and duration of the course, with the teacher focusing on your specific questions and interests. You can book individual private lessons in addition to your course in a group, e.g. a unit 2 times a week to cover special topics that you would like to prepare for a stay abroad or an exam.
Spanish for Kids
The Spanish courses are specially designed for children between the ages of 7 and 12 who want to go on a language trip to Spain with their parents or one of their parents. The aim of the children’s course is to introduce children to the Spanish language in a playful way, without making them feel like they are sitting in school. In 4 lessons of 45 minutes per day, the children learn to communicate in Spanish, play language games, sing Spanish songs, do handicrafts, paint, listen to Spanish music and do role plays in which they communicate in Spanish in situations of a child’s daily life. Individual registrations are also possible in July and August.

during the language courseYou can choose between different types of accommodation, all within walking distance of the language school and thus of the town centre and shops. All our accommodations are carefully selected to make your stay enjoyable.
Bed linen is provided in all accommodations, please bring your own towels.
Group apartment
Our most popular accommodation. You will live together with other students in a fully furnished apartment with kitchen (equipped for self-catering), bathroom, living room and 3 or 4 bedrooms. You can stay in a single or double room.
Single apartment
Do you prefer to be independent and on your own, or do you want to bring your partner? Then take advantage of our offer to stay in a holiday apartment for 1 to 2 people. These apartments are of a high standard and are also fully furnished with kitchen (for self-catering), bathroom, living room, and one or two bedrooms. You will quickly feel at home here.
Spanish Host Family
This type of accommodation is the best choice if you are looking for direct contact with Spaniards and want to use the language skills you have learned as intensively as possible. You’ll also learn about the eating and drinking habits, as well as the way of life of the locals. The families mostly have children of adolescent age and offer half board, i.e. breakfast and dinner or lunch. Of course, we regularly check that the families meet our requirements to ensure that they have a pleasant stay.
Hotel If you want the comfort of a hotel, we recommend the Hotel
del Carmen in Prado del Rey. Quietly located at the end of the village, the rooms with terrace have beautiful views of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the mountains of the Sierra de Cádiz. The hotel is very neat and clean and is run with a lot of commitment by the Tamayo family. The hotel has a breakfast café and a restaurant serving good regional cuisine. The icing on the cake is the hotel’s own swimming pool, which is also accessible to hotel guests free of charge outside opening hours. Price on request.
